I stand before you this morning a condemned man … every bit as guilty as that poor woman caught in the act of adultery. I don’t know whether or not Jesus wrote their sins in the sand but He certainly knows my many sins and I do know that my sins were swept away that day on the cross.

[Pick up little stone.] Yeah … there’s been a lot of jokes about the risk I’m taking by handing out stones before the sermon. Look at the stone in your hand. Yeah … getting hit by a rock this size could hurt … especially if it hit me in the head or hit me in the eye or something, amen? I guess ...read more

This morning, I was reading Mark 3:24-25, “A house divided against itself cannot stand.” I did not remember the context in which he said it. I found it in a Collected Works of Abraham Lincoln. I thought about Lincoln’s realization. It seems to me that we are again a divided nation.

Contributed by Lewis Martin on Jun 22, 2025
     | 435 views

If you’ve ever felt stuck in your faith, stalled in your growth, or just unsure of where you stand with God, Paul has a word for you today: The Gospel isn’t just how you begin—it’s how you keep going. And it’s how you’ll finish.

“The Gospel at Work in You” Philippians 1:1–11 Ok, I can be honest with myself: I need to lose weight. This isn’t about vanity—it’s about health. I’ve felt it in my energy levels, my sleep, and the way my clothes fit. I remember back in December thinking, “I really need to get serious about ...read more

When fear grips our heart and in those times when we feel all alone, deserted and feel that there is no one to help us or stand by us, let’s remember that God sees and He is by our side. The life of Hagar gives us a glimpse of God’s presence in the midst of life’s hardest moments.

We read in Genesis 21:17, “God heard the boy crying, and from heaven the angel of God spoke to Hagar, "What are you troubled about, Hagar? Don't be afraid. God has heard the boy crying.”(GNB) Hagar and her son wandered through the wilderness, and when the little water she carried got ...read more

This last sermon draws it all together and we stand in awe at all that the Lord has done in addressing ALL the consequences of Adam’s sin. Then He has restored what Adam could never have had in full grace and mercy to the sinner. I have loved doing this series and hope you do also.

MEASURE UPON MEASURE – THE GLORIOUS CONCLUSION – THE RESTORATION OF GOD - Part 17 One more chapter remains, and that is to wrap up all that has gone before. It is advisable to read all that preceded this last conclusion. The whole lot is the wonderful story of redemption and the window on the ...read more

Imagine standing face to face with God. What would you feel? Awe? Fear? Wonder? Perhaps all three. Jacob claims to have seen God, yet John asserts that no one has ever seen God. How do we reconcile these two truths, and what does it mean for our walk with Jesus today?

Face to Face with God: Seeing Jesus, Following Jesus Introduction: Engaging the Heart Imagine standing face to face with God. What would you feel? Awe? Fear? Wonder? Perhaps all three. In our sermon today, we see two seemingly paradoxical statements: Genesis 32:30 (NLT): "So Jacob named ...read more

Adam and Eve chose to Sin. And when we sin, it’s our choice. It’s our fault. But why is it important that I admit my own fault?

OPEN: (We opened with a Dorito’s commercial that has Eve attempting to share the forbidden fruit with Adam and he rejects her offer – holding up a Dorito’s Bag and saying “I’m good.” http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zHSjpezHHcw) Now, I liked that. Not only was it humorous… but it a great point. The ...read more
