God tells us to sing new songs... 1. Because we have new hearers (vs. 1-4). 2. Because we have new harmonies (vs. 4-6). 3. Because we have new hearts (vs. 1-3, 9-13). [1] Having new hearts means having new hope. [2] Having new hearts means having new holiness.
