• Education: Regents Theological College
• Experience: Saved in 1986 and learning and sharing God’s word ever since. I have preached at a number of churches in England and Wales including Ashingdon Elim, Belle Vue Baptist, Canewdon Congregational, City Temple, Gun Hill Elim, Heath Church Cardiff, Highfields, Paglesham Congregational, Pitsea Elim, Providence Baptist Chruch, Rayleigh Elim, Rochford Congregational, Southend Elim and Zion Chapel. I also preached regularly at an Arabic and Farsi speaking church in the UK - I preached in English and they translated.

• Sermon or series that made a difference: Many of the sermons preached by Rev David Redbond and Rev Tony Tween of Ashingdon Elim and Rev David Saunders of Rochford Congregational Church. I was converted under the ministry of the Rev David Jones at Grove Chapel, Camberwell in London, England. A man blessed of God. I was also blessed by the ministy of Rev William Smith, New Cross Road Baptist Church in London, England and Rev Roger Ninnis and Rev Ray Birch of Providence Baptist Church, East Street, Southend-on-Sea, England.
• One of my favorite illustrations: One of my favorite Bible verses begins, "For God so loved the world." I was thinking about that verse and wondering -- just how great is God’s love and how could we measure it? Sometimes we use a measuring jug or cup to measure things. When I cook rice, I use a cup to make sure that I put in exactly the right amount of rice and water. I wonder if we might use a cup to measure God’s love? The Bible says, "The Lord is my shepherd, I shall not want....my cup runneth over." (Psalm 23:1,5)
• Family: Married with 2 adult children and 4 grandchildren.
• What my parents think of my sermons: My parents are not Christians.
• What my spouse (really) thinks of my sermons: My wife gives me honest and appropriate feedback on my sermons and supports me in our ministry to others.
• Best advice given to me about preaching: Spend much time in prayer seeking the Lord before you even think about writing a sermon. Meet people at their point of need and understanding. Preach the whole of the Gospel and the Truth of God not just the easy bits.
• Books that have had an impact: So many by different authors. R.T. Kendall, Charles Stanley, Francis Chan, Colin Dye, John Piper, Matthew Henry, Dr Martyn Lloyd-Jones, Keith Warrington and Max Lucado to name a few.
• Hobbies: Studying the Word of God. Drawing, painting, backgammon. Web site design. Digital art. Learning Alto Sax. Cooking.
• If I could Preach one more time, I would say...: Jesus is the ONLY way, the ONLY truth, the ONLY life. Repent from your sins, turn to Jesus and be saved.
• Something funny that happened while preaching: I once spoke at a meeting for elderly ladies age 60+ on the reality of Hell and how important it was to turn to Christ before it was too late. As I was speaking one of the women fell off her chair, I thought she had died while I was speaking. Thankfully she had only fallen asleep (She was 90 years old!)
• What I want on my tombstone: Now with the Lord
