About Roshelle
  • Education: BA - Religion and History Masters Degree in Religious Education and Discipleship
  • Experience: Working in Various Associate Pastor positions since 2007
  • Comment to those looking at my sermons: It is my desire that you see Jesus in the words that you read. Not my denomination.... Not my gender.... JESUS.
  • One of my favorite illustrations: "Meddle not in the affairs of dragons, for thou art crunchy and taste good with ketchup." Why is this my favorite? Because it reminds me that I cannot stand toe to toe with the devil wearing my flimsy human armor.
  • Family: One husband One dog
  • What my parents think of my sermons: Awesome, of course!!
  • What my spouse (really) thinks of my sermons: If only he could stay awake long enough to comment..........
  • Best advice given to me about preaching: It's not so much advice, as it is a question that I ask my self. "Do I preach unmixed with human tradition?" I believe it is an important question because loving church and church traditions are not the same as loving Jesus and what I am called to is point people to Him.
  • Books that have had an impact: Holiness by J.C. Ryle Cost of Discipleship by Dietrich Bonhoeffer Windows of the Soul by Ken Gire Desire of Ages by Ellen White I Used to be Perfect by George Knight
  • If I could Preach one more time, I would say...: Look to Jesus and be transformed. He's your friend. He loves you. He died to save you. He wants, more than anything, to spend eternity with you.
  • What I want on my tombstone: Taking a nap 'til Jesus comes

We look at Communion 1 dimensionally and have reduced it to a cold, formal requirement. We sit. The pastor and elder tell us some stuff and the deacons pass us a tiny wafer and a minute glass of grape juice – job done. Communion over. Now potluck.

October 04, 2025 Jesus calls us to remember and partake in the Communion meal with him. However, we look at Communion 1 dimensionally and have reduced it to a cold, formal requirement. We sit. The pastor and elder tell us some stuff and the deacons pass us a tiny wafer and a minute glass of ...read more

The Conquest started on a great high – Jericho’s walls fell down and the army walked right in. The rest of Canaan seemed a little less scary and the camp was riding a wave of total victory – then came Ai.

September 27, 2025 The Conquest started on a great high – Jericho’s walls fell down and the army walked right in. The rest of Canaan seemed a little less scary and the camp was riding a wave of total victory – then came Ai. The Ai spies reported that it would take 3,000 men MAX to take the ...read more

Can you imagine? You have been a front row witness to the past 40 years. You have been by Moses’ side throughout the wilderness wanderings and you have watched as the people rebelled and complained and grumbled along the way and NOW ---- YOU’RE OLD and IN CHARGE!!!

September 20, 2025 The Israelites grieved for Moses 30 days…. During the wilderness travels, Joshua served as a Wise General (Ex. 17), a Faithful Scout (Num. 13), and as Moses’ Prime Minister (Ex. 33:11), but now that Moses was dead, the responsibility of leading the People into the Land of ...read more

Moses was 120 years old when he died, yet his eyes were not weak nor his strength gone….
