After Jesus' death Peter and the other disciples went back to their fishing boats. Jesus reminds them of what they were called to do. let us not go backwards but rely on God and his promises - he has a purpose for each of us!

This passage tells us about God’s promise to Abraham. God made an unconditional promise with great significance for us today. When Paul writes this he is referring to Genesis 12:2-3. It is God’s promise to Abraham and as we will see for all who believe.
