GOD’S PROMISES BEHIND OBEDIENCE
Genesis 12:1-3
Introduction:
When God calls, He made promises for those who obey.
Body:
I. GUIDANCE
The LORD said to Abram: Leave your country, your family, and your relatives and go to the land that I will show you. (v.1)
• Challenges:
• a. God wants Abram to leave his comfort zone.
• b. God tells Him a general location of destination but not a specific place
II. GREATNESS
I will make of you a great nation (v.2a)
• Challenges:
• a. Abram was old.
• b. Sarai was barren.
III. GRACE
I will bless you and make your name great, so that you will be a blessing. I will bless those who bless you, and him who dishonors you I will curse, and in you all the families of the earth shall be blessed (v.2b, 3)
• a. God will bless Abram to be a blessing.
• b. God will bless those who bless Abram and curse those who curse him.
Conclusion:
In obedience with God there’s promises made by God which is Guidance, Greatness and Grace.
