To establish that Jesus is God over the heavens and the earth. Jesus demonstrated His authority to rebuke the wind and command the Sea to be still. The power of His words quieted the storm and allayed the fears of His disciples. Their fear of perishing prompted Him to ask: “Where is your faith?”

When are people going to wake up and realize that just being a good moral person isn’t going to get you to heaven? We need a Spiritual Fire in our Churches, but we will never have it unless Someone Throws Some Wood on the Fire.

We are aliens and pilgrims in this strange land just passing through on our way to our inheritance. Paul says we are citizens of Heaven waiting for our Savior! That is why the phrase “after this” is so important. It gives us a proper perspective for the days ahead.
