: Jesus is the Good Shepherd because he laid down his life to save the sheep. He lead’s the sheep to safety, security, pasture and the good life but not to slaughter or harm. Jesus guards, encourages, supports and protects His sheep because He loves them.

Jesus is the door or the gate to heaven. It is only through Him that we are able to find eternal life and a relationship with Abba Father. There is no other gateway into eternity than this doorway.

Jesus will at the end of the Feast of Tabernacles when the lights are blown out make this statement. This celebration of God’s deliverance and a call to repentance for the Jewish nation will set the stage for Jesus 2nd “I Am” statement – Jesus states, “I am the Light of the world!”

Whenever Jesus said “I Am’ it became a moment between God and man and for those who believed a renewal moment. The name “I Am” refers to God as the God of the past, the present and the future! Jesus uses this name and verifies it again in the book of Revelation!
