About Michael

  • Experience: USMC Veteran, Ordained (2019); Worked as a part time worship leader for a small Baptist church while in college. I've also guest preached and lead worship at multiple churches throughout Louisiana. I now reside in Maysville, Georgia and I'm a virtual minister with Grace Evangelistic Ministries. I have an online preaching YouTube program called "The Weekly Word." I've also written and published a three book series of short Biblical sermons.
  • Comment to those looking at my sermons: I know that my sermons are short but I believe (excluding a Bible study class) that a short message can have just as much impact as a 30 min - 1 hour sermon. So, please use any of my short sermons as you wish. May God bless you, your preaching and your church / ministry.
  • Family: I am married to my loving devoted wife, Victoria. I also have 3 wonderful grown step-children named Kerri, Leah, and Thomas and 2 grand-children named Aiden and Farrah.
  • Best advice given to me about preaching: 1. Preach God's Word with boldness and authority. 2. If your sermon offends, that means someone was listening. 3. Just be yourself!!
  • Books that have had an impact: Fresh Wind, Fresh Fire by Jim Cymbala, The Servant by John C. Hunter, and almost any book written by John C. Maxwell.

Our society has become very perverse and our moral values are upside down (topsy-turvy). As Christians, we are in the middle of a spiritual war zone fighting daily against evil, sin and perversion. But with God on our side we can win the war and be declared victorious over the forces of darkness.

Our focal verse for this short sermon comes from Isaiah 5:20 CSB It says, 'woe to those who call evil good and good evil, who substitute darkness for light and light for darkness, who substitute bitter for sweet and sweet for bitter.'
