  • The Black Of Sin Series

Contributed by Jeff Strite on Sep 6, 2025
    based on 3 ratings

I couldn't find a scripture that equated sin or iniquity with the color black (a color of bead used in the popular "witness bracelet"). But the Bible does talk about sin as a "deep darkness" and that description has powerful implications for Christians.

It was a dark, dark night. A man was making his way home from working late, and as he often did, he walked home through a cemetery because it was a quicker route. However, because it was so dark, he didn’t notice a new grave had been dug in his path, and he tumbled into a 7 foot deep hole in the ...read more

  • Investing In What Lasts

Contributed by Patty Groot on Sep 23, 2025
     | 408 views

This sermon calls us to live with holy urgency and single-hearted devotion, being faithful in the small things and using our time, relationships, and resources now with eternity in mind, serving one Master, Christ.

Luke 16:1–13 is another one of those strange passages in the Gospels. Jesus tells a story about a manager who mishandles his boss’s money, gets caught, and then cuts secret deals to secure his own future. And at the end of the story, the master actually praises him! This is not the kind of hero you ...read more

  • Waiting On The Lord

Contributed by David Dunn on Sep 25, 2025

God’s delays are deliberate designs, revealing His glory, deepening our trust, and assuring that His perfect plan unfolds exactly when it should.

    1. The Strange Stillness of God Our journey, today, begins in Bethany: (John 11:1-6) > “Now a certain man was sick, Lazarus of Bethany, the village of Mary and her sister Martha… So the sisters sent to Him, saying, ‘Lord, behold, he whom You love is sick.’ But when Jesus heard it He said, ...read more

  • Faith, Rewards And Duty (October 5, 2025 Version)

Contributed by John Williams Iii on Sep 30, 2025
     | 751 views

This passage of scripture presents us with three things, faith, rewards and duty. If we forget about the sin warning that Jesus gives to us in this scripture, then our ingredients for true discipleship will be incomplete.

FAITH, REWARDS AND DUTY Text: Luke 17:(1-4) 5 – 10 Luke 17:5-10  The apostles said to the Lord, "Increase our faith!"  (6)  The Lord replied, "If you had faith the size of a mustard seed, you could say to this mulberry tree, 'Be uprooted and planted in ...read more

  • Why People Fail To Realize That They Are Sinners?

Contributed by Barnabas Park on Oct 3, 2025
    based on 1 rating

People fail to recognize their sinfulness because they compare themselves to others instead of to God, ignore His grace, underestimating the depth of their sins, and underesimate God’s perfect righteous standard revealed through Christ’s sacrifice.

The Apostle Paul proclaimed in Romans 1:17 that the righteousness of God is revealed in the gospel. Before explaining in detail what this gospel is, he explains why this gospel is necessary and why God’s righteousness is needed in Romans 1:18–3:20 as follows: 1. Everyone is a sinner, whether Jew ...read more

  • The Book Of Lamentations – Part 42 – Obtaining Food Could Mean Death; Starvation Caused Oven-Hot Skin; Women Were Raped By Babylon - Lamentations 5:8-11 Series

Contributed by Ron Ferguson on Oct 10, 2025
     | 103 views

The survivors of the Babylonian destruction had a terrible time. Even to get food was very risky, and because of starvation, the famine caused the skin to become hot, and earlier on, dry like wood. The army raped the women in all of Judah. We consider that infamy of debased men.

THE BOOK OF LAMENTATIONS – PART 42 – OBTAINING FOOD COULD MEAN DEATH; STARVATION CAUSED OVEN-HOT SKIN; WOMEN WERE RAPED BY BABYLON - Lamentations 5:8-11 Currently we are in the last chapter of the book with all the grievances written in short statements. In Genesis we had been looking at the life of Jacob, the son of Isaac and grandson of Abraham, who was the Father of our faith. Jacob was a piece of work - a bit complicated. On one hand, he was a liar, a cheat, and basically self-serving but his life evolved into a deep, transformative ...read more

There is some weird stuff in the Bible... Talking donkeys. Floating axe heads. Men swallowed by fish. Commands not to wear mixed fabrics. Giants. Seraphim with six wings... All of which ultimately points us back to our redemption in Jesus Christ.

Go! And Don’t Miss the Message in the Weird Stuff There is some weird stuff in the Bible... which ultimately points us back to our redemption in Jesus Christ. • Measure Upon Measure – Curse – The Restoration Of God - Part 5 Series

Contributed by Ron Ferguson on Jun 28, 2025
     | 228 views

Sin produces cursing. Through the Fall in the garden of Eden, the serpent was cursed. Then the ground and creation was cursed. That is why life is so difficult in many ways. We trace that theme. Then the Law of Moses cursed the keeper, but Christ became a curse for sinners.

MEASURE UPON MEASURE – CURSE – THE RESTORATION OF GOD - Part 5 CHAPTER THREE - THE THIRD CONSEQUENCE The third CONSEQUENCE of man’s sin through the fall has resulted in a vast array of problems on this earth. It is bordering on the impossible with our confinement to the present world ...read more
