Be Holy… How is this even possible? I have a difficult time just being a decent husband and father. How am I supposed to be as holy as God Himself? I’m just human. I make mistakes. Why am I being commanded to do something that seems to be impossible?

I have a ...read more

  • The Rate Of Exchange

Contributed by Donald Whitchard on Aug 10, 2021
     | 2,525 views

Jesus made it clear that you can gain everything the world has to offer, but it rusts, wears out, turns to dust, and you cannot take it with you after you die. If you lose your soul, however, you lose your life for eternity.

Humanity in its natural state really does not place much value on life, preferring to love death (Proverbs 8:36) in the form of abortions, murders, manslaughter, varied stages and types of physical, emotional, and mental abuse, and a placing on some individuals and groups a stigma of ...read more

  • All Glory And Honor To The Son Of God

Jesus' Divinity was shown in the healing of a man on the Sabbath Day (John 5:16) and declaring Himself equal with God (John 5:17-18). The religious authorities sought to kill Him yet should have honored Him. Their failure to do so condemned them. Don't make that mistake.

The Scriptures tell of the authority and power the Lord Jesus has over His creation and the affairs of humanity. The four gospels present what Jesus said and did to demonstrate to those who were willing to truly hear and see that He was the fulfillment of prophecy and the One who was the ...read more

Either Jesus is who He said He is – or He is a liar … He cannot be both. We come to church today (of all days) to celebrate where our hope comes from; but we must see/admit our need for a Savior.

Resurrection Sunday (Luke, Part 13) Luke 24:1-12 Introduction / Recap - Last week, we discussed the arrest, trial, crucifixion, and burial; saw three things: - First, a natural response (sadness, etc.) to Jesus’ suffering is not enough - Second, the cross is the most vivid illustration of John ...read more

We are all builders in Christ, but there is only one foundation. Watch how you build upon it and be rewarded for what remains on the day we face God.

Let us RECAP THE CONTEXT. • Paul has been addressing the divisions in the Corinth church, honestly and directly. • The believers were taking sides, glorifying certain leaders and human wisdom. • Paul said it clearly in 3:1 “But I, brothers, could not address you as spiritual people, but as people ...read more

This sermon explains the meaning of "redeeming the time" or "making the most of every opportunity" in Ephesians 5:16.

Opening: Suppose you had a bank that credited your account each morning with $86,000 that carried over no balance from day to day. “We know that if the tent that is our earthly home is destroyed, we have a building from God, a house not made with hands, eternal in the heavens. For in this tent we groan, longing to put on our heavenly dwelling, if indeed by putting it on we may not be found naked. For while we are still in ...read more

We didn’t have a large salary between us, and we were young and adventuresome, so we decided that it would be ...read more

It is the cross and the promise of a life after this one that makes this world, with all its ups and down, with all its sorrow, with all its conflicts and challenges all that much more bearable when we know that all of this is just temporary.

“There’s no place like home.” Who said it? Right … Dorothy in the Wizard of Oz. Why is that line so iconic? As soon as you hear it, you see Dorothy … aka Judy Garland … holding Toto, clicking the heels of her ruby red slippers three times, and uttering the words … “There’s no place like ...read more
