To establish that Jesus is God over the heavens and the earth. Jesus demonstrated His authority to rebuke the wind and command the Sea to be still. The power of His words quieted the storm and allayed the fears of His disciples. Their fear of perishing prompted Him to ask: “Where is your faith?”
