I've found that God communicates in innumerable ways. Every time I notice one way that God communicates, he changes it up. A new method appears. It's fascinating actually. God is diverse, incredibly so.

Isaiah 7:14 is quoted in Matthew 1:23 as a verification of the prophecy concerning the virgin conception of the Lord Jesus. God is with us in the midst of our troubles, our victories, the affairs of humanity, the events of the last days and eternity (Hebrews 13:5).

The Old Testament saint could gain the same inner insurance and leading of God as those in the New Testament. The only difference being that God used different means. The New Testament saint is guided by the Holy Spirit, but the Old Testament saint is guided by wisdom.
