The word "antichrist" means "against Christ. John writes that Antichrist is in the world in the first century. There are many antichrist. To focus on the final antichrist while ignoring the antichrists among us misses the point.

Of course, the first announcement at the time of Jesus birth was made to the shepherds who were out in the fields keeping watch over their sheep at night. This was an interesting choice that God made. It was not to kings and priests. The announcement was given to shepherds.

A Church Without Walls

A study of the first congregation of the Lord provides us with the example of a church without walls. The members did gather for worship, but they were compelled to penetrate their world to tell others of Jesus. We must do the same in this day.
