Understanding (and being able to defend) creation is critical for all believers. Why? Because, Creation causes us to marvel at who God is by seeing His complete authority over everything.

We must be careful to not let the facts of creation become overcomplicated. God's word can be trusted just as much in the creation account as it can that He has given us a redeemer (Jesus) to rescue us from sin!

Before you can truly see Jesus, we MUST believe the work of His Father. This same God, who delicately created the sun, moon, stars, seas, and vegetation, also cares enough about you to give His son, Jesus!

4. God Places An Importance On All Life!

The animals and the fish were created to demonstrate God’s glory, and they were each given a command to multiply and reproduce according to their own kind. We must see that God's design for Creation is intentional, and done to show His majesty even in the smallest things!

5. God’s Reasoning For Creating Mankind

God had a clear purpose for creating mankind (to reign & worship). Even though He knew we would sin … He still chose to create us and even in our rebellion, He still provided a way for us to know Him.

35 verses give us a complete insight into the mind of God as author, creator, sovereign, all-powerful, and later even as redeemer. In these verses we can see Him and all that He is, and choose to worship Him in His glory!

7. God’s Perfect Plan For Life On Earth

Man and woman both able to stand before a Holy God, both innocent, without fault or the need to understand what shame is. Because there was no failure, no fault to be seen, and no guilt and they were unified as a perfect picture of what God intended.

8. A Simple Choice: Sin Or Obedience?

In spite of our sin, we need to realize how God still desires to be with us. He loved us so much that He was willing to rescue us with death of His son because He created us for Himself and has not given up on us.

9. God’s Grace Displayed Through Mankind’s Sin

In their sin, Adam and Eve learned what mercy meant – even as they were cast out of paradise. They learned what grace was – even as they had to fend for themselves because God provided a way for them to survive, and He even delayed their (physical) death because of His love for them.

10. Society’s Beginning And Sin’s Painful Results

If God cared so much to show us His grace even in Genesis chapter 5, how is it possible for us to continue to try to do this ourselves now? God’s grace is available, but it means you MUST come and receive it

12. We Must Believe God’s Commands

We do not need parlor tricks or cute gimmicks to follow & obey God, what we need is faith that He has already done what He said He would do. He rescued Noah and his family because they obeyed His word. In fact … Noah shows us how God responds to our faithfulness!

Today, we’ve been given a promise of eternal life through Jesus, God’s redeemer, but know this: even in the days of Noah humanity was redeemed for God’s glory & for His pleasure. We are offered the opportunity to be a part of it IF we will choose to follow God's calling.

God's intercession, or judgment, in Babel was to again bring His creation back to Himself. It was done to place within them a desire to seek God out for what they need and not to be self-reliant.

We are called to live intentionally, to desire to know who loved us most. This means we live fully for Him, and He gives us a model (and a promise) to follow. It’s not to exalt another human – but to live for God because of His promises! Abram shows us how and why this is important.
