Redemption is like purchasing a slave to free them. Jesus 1) made a personal investment, and 2) paid a price. We are free as we 1) recognize our worth, and 2) chooses to be slaves of God.

Our freedom and liberty of independence is only available through dependence on CHRIST JESUS. We were not created for good and evil, but for truth. The Truth of CHRIST is what sets us free from sin and death to eternal life.

At Easter we think of how Jesus, by dying on the cross, freed us from our slavery to sin. But we can't think, 'I'm saved and that's all that matters to me.' God saves us for a purpose. We need to grasp God's purpose and engage with it.
