Luke and Acts give us a great look at the ascension. How Jesus handled Himself for 40 days before He was taken up! Powerful!

-We Are Acts. Luke 24:44-53 The first four books of the New Testament are commonly called the gospels. The fifth book, The Acts of the apostles, is tied to Luke by common authorship. So Luke wrote the gospel of Luke, and the book of Acts. That is important, because Luke gives us two accounts of ...read more

  • We Humans Sin But God Still Loves! Series

Contributed by Paul Clemente on Dec 10, 2015
     | 3,599 views

If a Christian humbles himself/herself (depend on and trust in God’s grace), God will show favor!

Ever wonder about this question: If God already knew people were going to sin against Him, why did He create them?? Open your Bibles to James and look back briefly with me to James 1:16-17… God is self-sufficient! God existed sufficiently before humans! God has no need for anything or ...read more

  • Are We Surrendered?

Contributed by Caleb Sowers on May 9, 2019
    based on 3 ratings

From 1908 to 2018, the Church of the Nazarene grew from 10,000 members to 2.5 million. They surrendered. They heard the call, the Great Commission given to every Christian, and they submitted. I think this is the problem that Christianity in general is facing today. Christians stopped surrendering.

The Church Manual states that “The Church of the Nazarene recognizes all believers are called to minister to all people.” I love that statement. I love it because it really sums up how the Church of the Nazarene from its earliest days really felt the burden of the Great Commission and from the ...read more
