  • Let God Do The Finger Pointing

Contributed by Michael Otterstatter on Aug 7, 2023
     | 2,150 views

If finger pointing is impolite and it is so often connected to self-centered, sinful behavior why does God do it? God does this so that when sinners see their lost condition he can point them to the cross of his Son. There forgiveness is found. There salvation and eternal life are offered.

“Finger pointing.” What thoughts do those two words bring to your mind? For the most part they are probably negative thoughts. At a very early age we are taught not to point at people. It’s considered impolite. As we get older we experience finger pointing in many different ways. If we had ...read more

This sermon is an exposition of "The Lord's Prayer." This prayer is sometimes called “The Model Prayer,” and it is an outline for prayer that all of us, as disciples of Jesus, should seek to follow when coming before the Lord with our petitions.

In our message this morning, we are going to look at what is called “The Lord’s Prayer.” And I want to get started by sharing how the gospel writer Luke prefaces this prayer. We read in Luke 11:1-2, “Now it came to pass, as [Jesus] was praying in a certain place, when He ceased, that one of His ...read more

    based on 1 rating

As some of said, “If we expect to hear the Christmas gospel without the Advent call to repentance, we will find ourselves surprised by John and unprepared for Jesus.” So, we ask the Holy Spirit to open our hearts to the message and ministry of both John and Jesus.

“It wasn’t what I expected.” Whether you are young or old, a man or woman, a girl or a boy, you have probably experienced something that caused you to have that reaction. Perhaps it was connected to some food that you tried. You were feeling a little adventurous and you ordered something at a ...read more

    based on 2 ratings

This message looks at aspects of the wrath of God where the subject is examined. The great truth is that Christians will never enter the wrath of God because the Saviour bore that wrath for each of us.

  • The Cross: Absolutely Essential (Part I) Series

Contributed by Richard Tow on Jul 25, 2017
     | 6,754 views

The atonement is essential to the Christian message and should always be a priority. Although there are many teachings that are appropriate, we must not allow the peripheral to push out the essential.

1 Cor. 2:2 2-1-15 I want to take as our subject this morning, The Cross as absolutely Essential to: (1) God’s plan of salvation, (2) The Church’s message, and (3) The Holy Spirit’s work in our lives. Paul said in 1 Cor. 2:2 “For I determined not to know anything among you except Jesus Christ and ...read more

Jean Crist, of Niagara Falls, New York, talks about a man in her town named Neal. He is a kind and loveable character that many consider to be quite simple minded. So, time after time, people in her town come up to him and offer him his choice of a dime or a nickel. He always takes the larger ...read more

After Helene Talbert of Wahpeton, North Dakota, completed her first semester at a Christian college, she had a lot to tell her family. Just before the end of the semester, they had an open house in her dorm – one of the few times men are allowed in the women's rooms. When her family came to ...read more

  • When We Decide Evangelism Isn’t For Us To Do Series

Contributed by Jim Butcher on Jan 22, 2025
     | 698 views

This is a passage about a watchman. The analogy fits with our responsibility today to share the Good News. Unfortunately, that's a responsibility we often neglect.

OPTIONAL? Many Christians do not see evangelism as a responsibility. - Ezekiel 33:1-11; Matthew 28:16-20. - [Unpack the responsibility to share but not the “blood on our hands” part.] - Unpack the passage and the responsibility that is put on the watchman. Explain the watchman analogy in that ...read more

  • What Does God Know About You? Series

Contributed by Scott Maze on May 24, 2021
     | 4,263 views

God’s knowledge of you is precise and full proof. He has exact intelligence on you; He’s better than the NSA or the KGB.

We all want to know who we are. We seek and search and try to “find ourselves.” Many of us have taken personality tests and other assessments. We learn personality inventory lists that tell us we are a lion, a beaver, a competitor, a high “I,” high “D.” We all want to know who we are. But what if I ...read more

  • Rentless Love

Contributed by Patty Groot on Aug 4, 2025
     | 254 views

Today’s passage is one of the most vulnerable, heart-wrenching moments in the entire Bible—not from a human being, but from God Himself. It’s raw. It’s emotional. And it’s all about the relentless love of God for His people—even when they run from Him.

I want to begin today by asking a question that might hit close to home for some of us: Have you ever loved someone who didn’t love you back? You gave and gave, and they walked away. You sacrificed, you showed up, you forgave—again and again—but they just… didn’t return it. Maybe it was a child. A ...read more

Missions is at the heart of God. God wants every people group and person to hear about a heavenly Father who loves them and sent His son to die for them. The church is God’s agent to accomplish this goal. The only way this can happen is for the church and individuals to obey the Great Commission. ...read more

  • Faith That Prays Series

Contributed by Derek Geldart on Jan 3, 2026
    based on 1 rating

When injustice and God’s silence confuses us, true faith does not walk away but cries out honestly, bows humbly before God’s sovereignty, trusts His wisdom even when His methods are unsettling, and continues in prayerful dependence until faith rests fully in His unchanging character.

Why does God allow injustice to exist? We turn on the news and watch oppressors rise without restraint. They redraw moral boundaries, rewrite history, and wield power with seeming impunity. The innocent suffer. The vulnerable are crushed. Entire peoples are marginalized, displaced, or ...read more
