  • What Really Counts Series

Contributed by Brad Beaman on Nov 28, 2015
     | 6,791 views

We are told what really counts. Paul closes the letter to the Galatians with his own hand and using large letters. It would be like using bold print in an email. It is his way of saying pay close attention to this section of the letter.

Some things are simply more important than others. When you receive junk mail do you give it the same importance as priority mail? I use a different wake up call system when I have an early morning appointment that is really important. I may set two alarms if I do not want to be late under any ...read more

We often talk of the qualities or qualifications of elders from 1 Timothy 3 and Titus 1. However, there is a more basic qualification -- the fruit of the Spirit (Galatians 5.16-25). The presence of the Spirit of God is crucial to the life of God's leader.

    1. God Showing Through A little girl on the way home from church, turned to her mother and said, "Mommy, the Preacher's sermon this morning confused me." The mother said, "Oh! Why is that?" The girl replied, "Well, he said that God is bigger than we are. Is that true?" "Yes, that's true," the ...read more

  • Fullness Of Time

Contributed by Sunitha Justin on Dec 2, 2021
    based on 2 ratings

The birth of Christ did not happen all of the sudden. From the beginning of creation, this plan of God of sending His Son into the world was revealed. In Galatians, Paul describes a moment in history when everything was in place and the stage was all set for Christ to be born.

But when the fullness of the time had come, God sent forth His Son, born of a woman, born under the law. Galatians 4:4 What does fullness of time mean? It is like eagerly waiting for something and suddenly the time comes very appropriately. Like a ripe apple ready to be picked. In this context ...read more

  • Clothed With Christ Series

Contributed by Lewis Martin on May 31, 2025
     | 858 views

Have you ever tried to prove yourself—only to realize the gift was already yours? In Galatians 3, Paul reminds us that we don’t need to earn God’s love—we’re already clothed in Christ.

I remember the first suit I ever bought for myself. It was 1988, and I was working at Men’s Wearhouse—so I had access to the good stuff, not Hart, Shafner, and Marx, but high quality suits. I picked out a charcoal gray, double-breasted suit with chalk line pinstripes. Sharp. Classic. It was a $300 ...read more

  • Walking In The Spirit Series

Contributed by Richard Tow on Dec 17, 2023

Believers are commanded to walk in the Spirit, but what does that mean? This message explores how the human spirit is to operate in relationship to the believer's soul. With instruction from Galatians 5 the difference between walking in the Spirit versus the flesh is examined.

Intro We are investigating the function or operation of the human spirit in relationship to God and the person’s soul. In Proverbs 20:27 we are told: “The spirit of a man is the lamp of the LORD, Searching all the inner depths of his heart.” i What is this saying about the human spirit? It is the ...read more

  • Holy Spirit - The Doctrine And The Ministry

Contributed by Pastor Renji George on Aug 5, 2024
    based on 1 rating

Another thing to remember is fruit of the Holy Spirit (Galatians 5:22-23) is more important than the gifts of the Holy Spirit (1 Corinthians 12:4-11). Gifts of the Holy Spirit without the fruit of the Holy Spirit is a counterfeit.

From Genesis 1:2 to Revelation 22:17, the Bible records constant references to the Holy Spirit—His person and His work. Like the Father and the Son, He has all the attributes of the Godhead and is especially active in the world scene. Though He is the “Sent One” by both Christ and the Father, He ...read more

  • Justification Through The Gospel By The Triune God Series

Contributed by Matthew Kratz on Oct 4, 2018
     | 3,264 views

    1) A believer’s experience of the Lord Jesus Christ (Gal. 3:1), 2) of the Holy Spirit (Gal. 3:2-4), & 3) of God the Father (Gal. 3:5) are incontrovertible evidence of having been graciously made acceptable to God through personal faith in the perfect, complete work of Christ.

If you are a fan of classic TV, you will remember the show Bewitched. It is the longest running supernatural themed sitcom of the 1960s–1970s. The focus of the show is on the mixed marriage of a nose-twitching witch, Samantha Stephens (Montgomery), and her mortal husband, Darrin (originally played ...read more

Concerning justification by faith alone we see Paul’s 1) REACTION 2) STATEMENT AND 3) DEFENCE

After a big event like a political campaign, leaders are called to justify their actions. They are asked why they choose to ignore certain polling advice, why they choose certain policies while ignoring others and choose the talking points as they did. For some they saw the majority victory that ...read more

God the Son invaded time and space and took on our humanity. God the Creator of the galaxies, came down through forty and two generations and as someone has said, “put on a robe of flesh” becoming just like us yet without sin.

(Gal 4:3 NKJV) Even so we, when we were children, were in bondage under the elements of the world. We have learned that Paul is showing through the practice of his day regarding a child who is heir to the family’s fortune that Jews and Gentiles were in their “spiritual childhood” before Christ...

(Gal 4:1 NKJV) Now I say that the heir, as long as he is a child, does not differ at all from a slave, though he is master of all, (Gal 4:2 NKJV) but is under guardians and stewards until the time appointed by the father. Contributed by Michael Mccartney on Jun 11, 2014
     | 5,115 views

Jesus confronted the Pharisee’s with straight talk to get them to change their ways. He wanted them to see the error in their thinking, behavior and change. He wanted them to see their legalistic – non grace attitude which was driving them away from Heaven and not toward Heaven.

Video from sermon central: Shoes and Judging Theme: Let’s Talk Series 3: Straight Talk What is it? Straight talk from a redneck: 1. Darlin. You’re hotter than donut grease at a fat man convention. 2. Duct tape is like "The Force." It has a light side, a dark side, and it holds the ...read more

The freedom we have received in Christ imposes responsibility to serve one another.
