Jonah sat outside the city of Nineveh in the blazing heat fuming against God, but God graciously appointed a plant to grow and give shade to Jonah. No matter what our situation is, let’s remember that God is mindful of us and He will never leave us nor forsake us.
For our meditation let us look at Jonah 4:6, “Now the LORD God appointed a plant and made it come up over Jonah that it might be a shade over his head, to save him from his discomfort. So Jonah was exceedingly glad because of the plant.” (ESV)
