  • Fear

Contributed by Robbie Parsons on Sep 9, 2021
     | 3,490 views

Fear is a very real emotion that seems to be hitting us all around these days. People seem to be more prone to fear and anxiety with COVID and it's new Delta variant. We should not fear to freeze us in place, taking our focus off of God, but we should rely on Him to help us through our fear.

Fear is one of those words that we know what it is, but it would be hard to sit down and write a definition of it. Definition: An unpleasant, often strong emotion caused by anticipation or awareness of danger; anxious concern; reason for alarm or danger. We have had a lot of fear in the last ...read more

Green or any other Christian currently playing in the NBA. That testimony is from a tract written thirty years ...read more

Address those in crisis who feel abandoned by God so they can know where God is and what He is doing when He seems absent.

WHERE IS GOD? Job 23:3-10 Ted Turner, now a professed agnostic New Ager, at one time had associated himself with Christianity. He had a testing of his profession, however, when he watched his sister die a slow, painful death by lupus. He abandoned his faith in God, not willing to believe that an ...read more

    based on 47 ratings

This sermon is intended to question why there often seems to be a shortage of joy in the lives of God’s people, and to call God’s people to "rejoice" and give thanks!

    I. When my father, Rev. Charles Wesley Bradford died, my mother gave me all my father’s old sermon notes and some manuscripts. Among these files were, I believe, also some things that either belonged to my grandfather Rev. Ernest Bradford or to my mother’s father Dr. Rev. Dewey Whitwell. AMong ...read more

A small church far away from Hurricane Katrina damage - what do we need to hear? It seems that Jesus would tell us to repent.

Luke 13:1-5 - A Little Less Conversation, a Little More Action Some of this sermon may sound familiar to you, and there’s good reason for it. Much of what I’m about to say, I preached after September 11, 2001. I felt it was time to dust it off and say it again. A pastor friend of mine, Denn ...read more

In our society it seems that we are devoid of God. Life wasn’t much different in the days of Judges. It’s a life literally without God.

Life Without God I remember clearly the day when I first saw the sign “God is Dead.” About 30 years ago, I was traveling on I-65 headed north to Indiana with my family. My mind was in neutral and I was somewhere else in “never-never land” as you sometimes get when you are driving on a long trip. ...read more
