  • A Life Of Gratitude (Thanksgiving Message)

Contributed by Dr. Odell Belger on Mar 19, 2022
     | 2,660 views

Bart Simpson, in a program aimed at millions of America's young, is asked to say grace and he says, "Dear God, we paid for all this stuff ourselves, so thanks for nothing."

The attitude of ungratefulness can not only be seen in the cartoons in the newspaper, but also in the lives of people. WHAT AN UNGRATEFUL PEOPLE WE HAVE BECOME! For example, if you have attended church very long you have experienced ingratitude. • There are people who will attend church to get ...read more

Skeptics claim that death has the final word. God claims that life has the final word. Should we abandon the skeptics’ claim for God’s. Should we? John says “yes,” and he gives us three reasons that we should.

It was Sunday morning. The pastor was planning to preach on the Resurrection of the Lord. And he wanted his sermon to make an impression on the congregation. So he proceeded to shave in front of them. He lathered up, ran his razor over his face, first one side, then the other, then the chin, and ...read more

  • Embracing Grace

Contributed by Isaac Butterworth on Apr 2, 2022
     | 3,280 views

The vast majority of people do not "accept" Christ (Luke 4:24) but refuse the "favor" (grace) He offers (v. 19). God has sent Christ to offer His grace. We must embrace the grace offered in Christ. Luke shows us how.

There’s a key word in this passage that I would like to point out. It is not obvious in the English, so it’s a bit tricky. But the word ‘favor’ in verse 19 and the word ‘acceptable’ in verse 24 render the same Greek word, which is dektos. In fact, in the King James Version it is translated ...read more

Five places in Scripture refer to the sprinkling of blood. It brings preservation, confirms covenants, purifies from uncleanness, sanctifies, and gives access. It's at the center of God's great redemption!

THE SPRINKLED BLOOD Heb. 12:18-25 INTRODUCTION A. HUMOR 1. One of my pet-peeves is Christians with Christian bumper stickers driving discourteously or dangerously – it’s a bad testimony. 2. One guy had a bumper sticker, “Jesus is my Co-Pilot.” He got in a bad wreck. A policeman came along and ...read more

  • Anointing Of The Holy Spirit Series

Contributed by Rev. Dr. Vivek Gundimi on Sep 4, 2023

"What is the anointing of the Spirit of God? What does it mean to be anointed?" Is it necessary to be anointed by the Spirit of God in the Post Modern Culture such as today?

I want to trace back briefly into history of the practise of anointing and then come to its relevance for us today. The origin of ‘anointing’ was from a practice of shepherds. Lice and other insects would often get into the wool of sheep, and when they got near the sheep's head, they could ...read more

Hezekiah’s revival shows that true renewal begins with repentance — a turning from sin and toward God that opens the floodgates of divine mercy.

Sometimes revival comes in such gradual ways. Without even realizing when it all began, we find ourselves enjoying the spiritual blessings and joy that revival brings. Sometimes revival comes in response to conflict, or persecution, or maybe tragedy. Our complacency, our apathy, is shattered by ...read more

(From Bitter to Better While We Wait) There’s a tiny spacecraft drifting through darkness right now. You can’t see it with your eyes. No telescope can frame it. Pioneer 10 left Earth when gasoline was 36 cents a gallon, and bell-bottoms were still a thing. It flew past Jupiter, past Pluto, out ...read more

But not everyone came to this country for religious reasons. Many ...read more

  • "He Gets Us”! But, Does He Take You As You Are?

Contributed by Phillip Smith on Oct 17, 2024
     | 629 views

Some people with good intentions have created an advertisement named, He Gets US! Is it a proper depiction of the cause of Jesus Christ for mankind? Does Jesus approve of us the way we are?

Some people with good intentions have created an advertisement named, He Gets US! I am sure many have seen it.
