There were many kings who reigned over Israel, but amongst all of them David was distinguished. The reason for David’s renown was because he had a single minded devotion toward God and made that his sole ambition.
We read in Psalm 91:9-10, “Because thou hast made the LORD, which is my refuge, even the most High, thy habitation; There shall no evil befall thee, neither shall any plague come nigh thy dwelling.” (NKJV)
