• Education: Th.M. from Dallas Seminary, class of ’86, major in Pastoral Ministries. Bachelor Arts in Communications, specializing in Journalism, from California State University at Fullerton, class of ’76.
• Experience: 23 years here, started as church planter. Washed windows on the side for about 25 years. Previously was assistant and then managing editor of Back to the Bible Broadcast youth magazine for six years.

• Family: Wife, Jean, is an elementary school teacher. Three daughters. Adopted twins, Abby and Annie who are 23. Amanda came normal way, is 20. Married for 27 years. All still attend our church.
• What my parents think of my sermons: Way too long! I’m waving my white flag. Ready to surrender!
• What my spouse (really) thinks of my sermons: Inconsistent
• Hobbies: Fishing, especially trout fishing, "catching the big one", watching sports on TV, hiking.
• Something funny that happened while preaching: I told the congregation I had gotten "lucky" the night before during a series on sex in marriage.
• What I want on my tombstone: Fisher of men (and fish)! or "A servant of the Lord" or "Preacher of the Word"
