Satan’s Limitations: Satan Is Not Omnipotent Series

Job 1-2 reveals Satan’s limitations. Satan is not God’s equal opposite. Unlike God, Satan isn’t omnipresent (everywhere), omnipotent (all-powerful) or omniscient (all-knowing). This session’s focus: Satan is not omnipotent; he can only do what God allows. So why does God allow suffering?

Matthew 13: 24-30 is a parable that Jesus spoke. A Parable is an earthly story with a heavenly meaning. What Jesus is doing in the parables is taking some aspect of the actions of God and comparing that to something that is earthly so we can come to some understanding of the purposes of God.
