• One of my favorite illustrations: Peter Lord tells the story of an eagle raised by turkeys, so that they had the eagle nature on the inside, but were living like turkeys on the outside.
• Family: I am blessed with a beautiful wife, and 5 children ages 26 ... 14, and one daughter in law.
• What my parents think of my sermons: They are both deceased.
• What my spouse (really) thinks of my sermons: She is kind and usually says she enjoys them.
• Best advice given to me about preaching: Never apologize for what God gives you
• Books that have had an impact: Prison to Praise, A Tale of Three Kings, The Normal Christian Life. 15 Invaluable Laws of Growth, Jonathon Livingston Seagull, Divine Covenants, anything by Spurgeon.
• Hobbies: Woodworking, golf, scifi.
• If I could Preach one more time, I would say...: In everything give thanks for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus for you.
• Something funny that happened while preaching: On a missions trip a rooster was walking back and forth behind me while I was preaching, I didn’t know till later why the congregation seemed so amused while I was speaking.
• What I want on my tombstone: Who will come and go with me, I am bound for the promised land?!
