The devil took this passage to entice Jesus to jump off the pinnacle. The devil used or misused this text as though it provides unconditional security in any and every circumstance. Jesus own experience shows that even faithful ones suffer, have emotional anguish and physical pain.

Psalm 91 cannot protect you. Living in God and God in you is your safe place. Your protection is to abide in Christ constantly. Abide in His presence. Forever remain in the secret place.

Even today the Lord is performing many signs and wonders, there are many who desire to know God, but are unwilling to truly seek after Him. To seek after means to give up all the comforts with the sole purpose to find and attain that which we are searching for.

52 soldiers from the small town of Seadrift, TX went off to fight WW II. During the war, 15-20 mothers prayed Psalm 91 as they knelt together asking God to bring their sons home. God heard the prayers of these mothers and all 52 sons came home.
