John 10:1-10: 1 “Truly, truly, I say to you, he who does not enter the sheepfold by the door but climbs in by another way, that man is a thief and a robber. 2 But he who enters by the door is the shepherd of the sheep. 3 To him the gatekeeper opens. Christ is the Door. In Egypt, the blood of the lamb was taken, and the hyssop applied the blood to the door, which made the form of a cross as it went from the doorposts to the lintel and the blood ran down. At Calvary, hyssop was taken, offered to the Door on the cross, He who is the Lamb of God.

Jesus is the only entrance into everlasting life.

I AM THE DOOR. John 10:1-10. JOHN 10:1. In every age of the Church there have been false shepherds, whose very entrance into the Ministry is suspect. The same are “thieves and robbers” who have entered the sheepfold by some way other than by the Lord’s appointing. JOHN 10:2. Jesus claims that ...read more

When we get to know Jesus, we can trust Him that wherever He is leading us is good and for our good. And so we want to put ourselves in the place of hearing His voice.

Last week, we spoke about, "The Peace of Jesus, the valuable gift of Peace". Most importantly, he asked what the source of our peace and its quality is. In John 10 Jesus reaffirms that He is fulfilling Ezekiel 34. Psalm 23 is a Psalm that touches a deep place within our souls. Why would Jesus compare Himself to a “shepherd” if in His own culture the role of the “shepherd” was a profession that was rejected?
