False prophets are not just an Old Testament problem. We have them in full force today, in all denominations, telling us that God is “doing a new thing,” misinterpreting Isaiah 43:19 to justify sin.

What Isaiah is prophesying here about this child who would come, he is saying something that is very distinct. The Messiah would be called Mighty. But calling the coming Messiah “Mighty – God” means even more.
