Nothing compares to God. But as strange as it may seem, God’s Win-Loss record seems not clean. Because there’s a man by the name of Jacob who claimed to have seen God face to face, was in a wrestling match with God, and even defeated God.

Peniel was a place where Jacob reached brokenness. He lost all self-sufficiency and depended completely on God. This was a time for Jacob of genuine soul searching and spiritual struggle. It was also a significant time of knowing God’s grace.
