Sarah thought that she was now to old to have a son so she told Abraham to have a son by her Egyptian hand maid Hagar which was a bad mistake, eventually God fulfilled His promise to Abraham and he did have a son by Sarah, his name was Isaac.

These all died in faith - it seems that this is referring to Abraham, Sarah, Isaac, Jacob and their immediate descendants. ~~ Abel and Noah also died in faith, but the “promises” were not particularly entrusted to them.

The faith of Abraham made him righteous. Through the life, death, and resurrection of Jesus, our faith makes us righteous and leads us to trust in God and God's promises. We never know what these promises will mean for us, but we can know that God works them together for our good.
