[330]. A MESSAGE FROM A POEM - WE ARE ON THE LAST PAGE OF THE CURRENT CHURCH AGE
{{2 Timothy 3:13 “Evil men and impostors will proceed from bad to worse, deceiving and being deceived.”}}
The world is a veneer hiding wickedness. We know where it is going – down. But we are going up. Christians are true citizens of heaven, not of earth. Man’s control is getting more chaotic. Fear not what evil men may do to us. Fear not the direction the world takes.
Christianity is the most persecuted belief and adherence system in the world, and has been right down through the centuries. The world hates Christians because it hates the Christian’s Lord and Saviour. {{John 15:18-19 “If the world hates you, you know that it has hated Me before it hated you. If you were of the world, the world would love its own, but because you are not of the world and I chose you out of the world, therefore THE WORLD HATES YOU.”}}
The title I gave to this poem is because we are right at the end of the Church age. The Lord is coming again. That last page is here and what is asked of us? {{Revelation 2:10 “Do not fear what you are about to suffer. Behold, the devil is about to cast some of you into prison that you may be tested, and you will have tribulation ten days. BE FAITHFUL UNTIL DEATH, and I will give you the crown of life.”}}
That is not being dramatic but the truthful aspect of a Christian’s life. Jesus said once something some people find confronting - {{Matthew 16:24-25 Then Jesus said to His disciples, “If anyone wishes to come after Me, let him deny himself and TAKE UP HIS CROSS, AND FOLLOW ME, for whoever wishes to save his life shall lose it but whoever loses his life for My sake shall find it.”}}
2 000 years ago, when a man took up his cross it meant he was going out to a place of execution. That is the sacrificial aspect of our faith and some don’t like that because they are not committed. A non-committed Christian is not a Christian at all.
We are on the last page of the Church age, where all around us is WOKE behaviour and restrictions on Christians and persecution of them. We don’t fit the world’s mould and the world hates it.
This poem is revealing all this and I wish it to be a challenge to us for steadfastness and faithfulness.
The structure is one that is challenging to write. Each second line has an internal rhyme – “We know in REVIEW, that the bible stands TRUE.” Then each alternate line in the stanza has a common rhyme. You will see that as you read.
I will leave you with three verses that are so true:-
{{2 Timothy 3:12 “Indeed, all who desire to live godly in Christ Jesus WILL BE PERSECUTED.”
2 Timothy. 3:13 “Evil men and impostors WILL PROCEED FROM BAD TO WORSE, deceiving and being deceived.”
2 Timothy 3:14 “You, however, CONTINUE in the things you have learned and become convinced of, knowing from whom you have learned them.”}}

WE ARE ON THE LAST PAGE OF THE CURRENT CHURCH AGE
We have concluded, the world is deluded.
It struggles to find the right course.
Men don’t understand what’s the lie of the land,
And don’t know what things to endorse.
Extinguish the light, then impaired is the sight,
So incorrect things they enforce.
God is abolished; decency demolished,
And for evil, there’s no remorse.
=================
Good now is compressed; what’s righteous, is transgressed.
That’s part of the nation’s downturn.
All too rapidly we have hugged apathy,
And people no longer discern.
Our leaders are weak; they are no longer meek;
Anything godly they adjourn.
We know in review, that the bible stands true.
To its truths, people must return.
=================
In darkness men grope, while they’re looking for hope,
Because they live in sin’s dark blight.
The heart that is cold is unable to hold
The truths that we clasp to be right.
God’s seeking repentance, to end the sentence,
Of man’s journey into death’s night.
One true bible verse says that things will get worse,
For men love darkness, not the light.
=================
Like a sharp prickle in man’s self made pickle,
The Christian is one they besmear.
The righteous they hate, and their goodness castrate;
To Satan’s rule they adhere.
The world’s in decline; wickedness they enshrine,
But it’s God the Christians revere
We’re are on the last page of the present Church age;
Don’t be deceived by false veneer.

Revelation 6 talks of God's vengeance upon the evil of this world. But it also speaks as if there's no hope of repentance for those who are mentioned here. Can that really be true? Can man reach a point where he can't repent?
