Just how excited are we to behold such incomparable and awesome glory? Do we ever imagine what is the eternal glory of the Holy God?
"Who among the gods is like you, O LORD? Who is like you -- majestic in holiness, awesome in glory, working wonders?” (Ex.15:11, NIV). Last time, we realized that we have so much to praise God and to feel blessed for the forgiveness of our sins. We have seen the enormity of our sins, the ...read more

Surely it is good we celebrate the birth of Jesus Christ. But why did God send His only Son? What was the reason? It ultimately leads to the cross and forgiveness, and our salvation.
We talked last week about “What if.” We looked at the Dickens Story “A Christmas Carol” and while acknowledging that “Christ” was not mentioned in the story, as Christians, we look for the message of Christ everywhere. And as such, we said that we might look at the “Spirits” of Christmas past, ...read more

Our physical eyes and other human faculties tend to perceive only the wonder of the physical creation; but, even from the beginning, if we have the spiritual eyes to see, we can already admire the Splendour of God!
“In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth. The earth was without form, and void; and darkness was on the face of the deep. And the Spirit of God was hovering over the face of the waters. Then God said, ‘Let there be light’; and there was light. And God saw the light, that it was good; ...read more

Acts Chapter 2 gives us a glimpse of what the Holy Spirit can do.
“The Spirit of Sharing” Acts 2:42-47 A headline caught my eye last week. It read, “31 Billionaires are Worth More than the US Treasury has in Cash.” At the close of business on May 25th, the Treasury of the United States had just $38.8 billion dollars. For context, 31 of our billionaires ...read more

Suppose that the Lord Jesus chose this very moment to return. Would you be ready? Our objective as Christians is not merely to be included in the Rapture but to bring as many people with us as we can. My eternal hope and my ongoing prayer is that neither you nor I get “left behind.”

What was the Scapegoat, and can it's function somehow be applied to Jesus? Christ made a one-time sacrifice and atonement to cover all sins. There is no more need for a scapegoat, as the Lamb of God became the final sin offering.
I want to begin our sermon this morning by asking if you’ve ever before heard the word “scapegoat.” This term was coined by William Tyndale, the first great English Bible translator, who I will discuss a little further later on in our message. After Tyndale, the word came to be used for a person, ...read more
