God has blessed this nation over the two hundred plus years it has existed, but our sins and growing hatred of God and righteousness has reduced it to a rubble of what it once was. Can anything be done for America to steer it back to its Judeo-Christian foundation? You may not like the answer.

Paul was happy to be a slave to his Master, the Lord Jesus Christ. The first thing he says in this letter to identify himself is that he is a servant of Jesus Christ. The word for servant is doulos, which is the word for slaves all through the New Testament.

There are disappointments in serving Jesus, that is why Paul needed the encouragement of others, and that is why we all do. The only way any Christian can be obedient over the long hall, and not get weary in well doing, is to be encouraged by other believers.

Shipping Out Shame Series

The paradox is that the only way we can get back to Paul's position of not being ashamed of the Gospel is to add to our lives shame for all that is not the Gospel. We need to be embarrassed by all of the false gospels of our day.
