In his fourth word from the cross, Jesus expresses being forsaken by God. He points out to the exchange that happened that day: our sin on him, God's forgiveness on us. Our right response is to live thankful lives that count the cost of sin.

Psalm 22 is an amazing piece of literature. The way David writes this, you’d almost think he was standing at the cross because these events never took place in David's life, but instead were written 1,000 years before Christ's birth. Praise God!
