Psalm 22 is an amazing piece of literature. The way David writes this, you’d almost think he was standing at the cross because these events never took place in David's life, but instead were written 1,000 years before Christ's birth. Praise God!

Once we see God as our provider, not our convenience, we will share Him with others because of what He's given us. He satisfies all that we could ever need/want, and deserves all the credit for what He has done.

In Psalm 3 we saw that trouble brings confidence if our faith is in God, and in Psalm 4 we learn that David’s life reflects a life well-lived trusting God. From this, we can learn that living for God is possible – if we desire it!

These two Psalms give us two very specific challenges: What/who we worship is what we rejoice about … so do we worship God? For us, there is nothing more powerful or restorative than confession of sin, and we need to do that more and more.
