What was the Scapegoat, and can it's function somehow be applied to Jesus? Christ made a one-time sacrifice and atonement to cover all sins. There is no more need for a scapegoat, as the Lamb of God became the final sin offering.

After Tyndale, the word came to be used for a person, ...read more

It is surprising, and sad, that the only testimony (in effect) on Jesus’ behalf during the trial was made, not by any of Jesus’ disciples, nor apostles, nor followers, but by Pilate’s wife.

They had Jesus brought before Pilate the governor to pronounce the death sentence. (Mark 15:1; Luke 22:66; 23:1) Pontius Pilate was the fifth ...read more

The British have a condescending saying: “How odd of God to choose the Jews.” They sneeringly look down on God’s chosen people. Yet God’s choice is not odd. The Jews chose God. Contributed by Scott Fields on May 28, 2023

We remember and honor those from the revolutionary war until today who gave the ultimate sacrifice for the freedoms we enjoy in this country. Let us not forget about another who gave the ultimate sacrifice for the freedoms of all who will come to Him.

This is Memorial Day weekend. A day when we remember all those that gave their life to give us the freedom we experience today. We should take time to remember them, thank God for them and never forget the price they paid for our freedoms and I do not think there are many people who would ...read more
