Contributed by Clarence Eisberg on Dec 23, 2024
    based on 1 rating

One of my favorite characters of the Christmas story is Simeon. He heard the "voice of Jesus" by the Holy Spirit. When you hear the Spirit give you a direction, you are hearing the voice of Jesus. The scriptures can also be "a voice of Jesus" (Jesus Speaks Leonard Sweet)

How can a sinful people live in intimate daily communion with a Holy God?

Leviticus is probably one of the most difficult books in the Bible. The material in it ranges from unpleasant to incomprehensible and back again, with one or two flashes of clarity and simplicity almost as if to catch us off our guard. If it hadn’t been for the fact that I promised to preach on one ...read more

  • Inside Out Christianity

Contributed by Dwight Davis on May 17, 2024
     | 1,934 views

So often, we Christians--like everyone else get caught up on the outward appearance of our physical bodies, our homes, our cars and our families. Even more dangerous than focusing on the "appearance" of these things, we quite often focus on the appearance of our Christianity.

Have you ever met someone for the first time, and you were immediately struck by how nice-looking that person was? But after spending some time with them, all of a sudden, they didn’t look that good anymore? Not that their makeup got smeared or their toupee blew off; but once you talked to them and ...read more

  • A Convincing Salutation Series

Contributed by Christopher Benfield on Jan 5, 2026
     | 123 views

Paul sought to address the challenges within Galatia regarding false teaching and many of the believers there being tempted to move away from the truth of the gospel, being influenced by the Judaizers who refused to accept the gospel by grace through faith alone.

A Convincing Salutation Galatians 1:1-5 Today, I want to begin our journey through the book Paul wrote to the believers in Galatia. Many scholars agree that Galatians was one of the earliest of Paul’s letters, likely written somewhere around 49-50 AD. This early date assumes Paul was writing to ...read more

Saul chose not to wait for Samuel as instructed. It changed the course of history.

January 10, 2026 1st Samuel 13:1 follows the Biblical formula for a kings age when he began to rule and the length of his reign (see examples in 2 Sam 2:10; 1 Kings 14:21; 22:42). However, in the original, the verse is incomplete because the 1st number was inadvertently left out – so we don’t ...read more
