The cross wasn’t a tragic mistake. It didn’t “happen” to Jesus. He wasn’t a victim of circumstance. Jesus died because He deliberately chose to lay down His life – and he made that choice at Gethsemane. The war was not over, but the battle was won at Gethsemane.

Gethsemane is a beautiful garden of olive trees. This beautiful garden of olive trees called Gethsemane means oil press. It's the location of where Jesus was in such agony it was, “crushing the life out of him.”
