Jesus’ temptation and His victory over temptation are practical for us because we are so often ourselves tempted. Jesus is victorious over temptation. We have a savior who can identify with our temptations.
You will be tempted. You can be sure of that. It is helpful for us to look at how Jesus was tempted and how Jesus responded to his temptation in the wilderness. Jesus walked into the synagogue in Capernaum. When Jesus taught there was a striking difference to the norm. Not as the scribes and the teachers of the law. It says he taught as one who had authority.

We all need a daily pattern of prayer. Sometimes we also need an extended time of prayer. It means we are following the pattern of our Lord and really making time for solitary prayer a priority along with our corporate time of prayer.

Jesus showed mercy to lepers, prostitutes, adulterers and associated with people society treated as people to be avoided. Jesus sought out those who were down and out. When they met Jesus, their lives were transformed.

Your faith has made you whole. None of us will ever know the fullness, wholeness that God intends without faith in Christ. We do not come to Jesus by our good works. Salvation is a free gift and Jesus already paid the price when he died on the cross.
