It was reported by official Soviet channels upon their entry into space in 1961 that the Russian Cosmonaut who first traveled into space said these words: “I went up to space, but I didn’t encounter God.”

Although the Bible doesn’t call it a “gift basket” it does use the word “gifts” in connection with our Savior’s ascension into heaven. Because of Jesus' ascension we receive many gifts. In Luke's account of the ascension we notice three.
