Jacob lost his son “Joseph” the dreamer… He thought that he was dead! And he was grieving, depressed, and thought that he will never be comforted again! but the lord revives his spirit

These all died in faith - it seems that this is referring to Abraham, Sarah, Isaac, Jacob and their immediate descendants. ~~ Abel and Noah also died in faith, but the “promises” were not particularly entrusted to them.
