Judgement was about to open the door and come through. The Day of the LORD is about to fall and who pays the slightest attention? We should be warning them in our preaching. It is one thing to preach gospel stories, but preach what is coming on the earth warning men and women.

References to "The Day of the LORD" continue as we look into the Old Testament prophets (Isaiah here). We will see great fear, judgment, scorched men, Israel saved - a remnant, and God's compassion on Israel. God will refine His people. God is compassion.
