Rest is the completion of creation. Chapter 1 gives the overview of the entire six days of creation. Chapter 2 goes into detail about the most important creation, man.
Verses 1-3, God’s Work Completed and His Day of Rest.
Sanctified means set apart. Exodus 20:9-11, the seventh day is the Lord’s sabbath, day of rest. The rest for us is body repair.
Work & Rest is a Law of God: Psalm 128:1-3, Happiness depends upon work.
