The name Adonai occurs about 300 times in the Old Testament. Every time it’s used it’s written as a possessive plural form. So it could actually be read as “my Lords” which reminds us that God is a trinity, of Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.

Self-help says “look within” for happiness; Scripture says contentment comes from being humbled by God and satisfied in Christ. In Moses we’ll see that contentment often precedes calling, stays active (not complacent), and resists complaining—because Christ is enough.
