When God sows, He doesn’t sow with seeds that can spoil or decay. There’s a kind of seed God has sown into our lives that irrespective of your financial status, you can always sow this seed.

Introduction One of the very first biblical principles God introduced in His Word is the principle of sowing and reaping (Genesis 8:22). For you to sow and invariably reap, you must have a seed. You can’t plant if you don’t have a seed. Often times when we talk about sowing and ...read more

Miracles happen every day but all too often Jesus is not credited with them. It is time we took the offensive in our battle of faith and openly use the name of Jesus with every opportunity. Do you believe that by Jesus name miracles can and do occur?

God's power flows in some ministries and doesn't flow in other ministries. WHY? There IS an explanation. Using Peter's miracle at the beautiful gate, we can detect 4 key reasons when and where God's power will flow.

WHERE GOD’S POWER FLOWS Acts 3:1-10 INTRODUCTION A. HUMOR 1. Five-year-old Becky answered the door when the census taker came by. She told the census taker that her daddy was a doctor and wasn't home, because he was performing an appendectomy. 2. "My," said the census taker, ...read more

The lame beggar was over 40 years of age (Acts 4:22) and spent every day in the same place the whole of his life. He is a representation of any person living out their lives without an “other” context.

I was browsing the internet a few days ago – news stories about the “same old, same old”. “Same old” suggests “nothing has changed” and speaks to those things that frustrate us or annoy us. We can easily slip between boredom and depression because nothing ever seems to change or improve. It could ...read more

Peter said to the lame man "such as I have give I thee". What did he have to offer that made the difference that day, and what do WE have that can make the difference today?

Years ago, I learned this cute little camp song. If you know it, sing along with me. “Peter and John went to pray – they met a lame man on the way He held out his palm and asked for an alm – and this is what Peter did say 'Silver and gold have I none, but such as I have give I thee In the name of ...read more

Power is one of the most sought after prizes in life. But when people get it, often the results are not positive. Power has a tendency to corrupt both the people who have it and the people who feel its effect.

A Tour Through Acts ~ part 10 A Healing Touch Acts 3:1-8 One day Peter and John were going up to the temple at the time of prayer—at three in the afternoon. Now a man crippled from birth was being carried to the temple gate called Beautiful, where he was put every day to beg from those ...read more

The power of the Holy Spirit enables his disciples to reach out and touch human needs and share the message of the Gospel. Pentecostal Power enables the church for inreach, outreach, evangelism and discipleship.

The Impact of A Church With Pentecostal Power! During this season of Pentecost, I want us to rediscover the purpose of the power made available to the Church. In describing the ministry of Jesus, Apostle Paul said, Ac 10:38 “How God anointed Jesus of Nazareth with the Holy Ghost and with power: ...read more

The disciples had no money to give. Had they had it, they would have gladly given it. But what they had was of more value than alms. And, best of all, they were willing to share what they had.

Acts 3:1-10 Better Than Silver, Finer Than Gold May 1, 2022 Peter and John had hardly begun their ministry when they encountered a man who had been lame all his life. Having no means of support, the cripple lay daily at the beautiful gate of the temple to beg alms of those who came ...read more

  • A Hand Up...not A Hand Out! (Acts 3:1-10)

Contributed by David Darst on May 17, 2021
     | 5,661 views

I have come to this conclusion: People do not need a “hand out” . What they really need is a “hand up” So many people would be content to be carried around in their affliction rather than walk on their own two feet. The Worst part is many Christian’s are content to keep carrying them.

    I. The Routine (1) Peter and John were still in the two by two mode -- they were going about their religious routine on their way to the temple to pray. “Ninth hour” approximately (3PM) in the afternoon. Some interesting observations: It wasn’t the time of the afternoon sacrifice; but rather the ...read more
