Biblical ambiguity is often an intentional literary and theological feature that invites readers into deeper reflection, humility, curiosity, and spiritual participation, while comparing translations can help reveal layers of meaning that might otherwise be overlooked.

Ambiguity, Mystery, and the Richness of Scripture Good evening everyone. Tonight I want to explore something that many Christians never think about when reading the Bible: the literary use of ambiguity. Usually, when we hear the word “ambiguity,” we think of confusion or uncertainty. But in ...read more

Jesus Getting Into Your Boat Text: Luke 5:1-11 (CSB) There is something deeply personal about this story in Luke 5. Jesus is surrounded by crowds pressing in to hear the Word of God, and out of all the boats on the shoreline, He steps into Simon Peter’s boat. He does not ask permission ...read more

    Contributed on May 25, 2026

“It is true that Ezekiel’s performances arise out of perceived divine jealousy. Indeed the word quin’a, though appearing only ten times in the book, expresses the underlying motif of his ministry, and one’s interpretation of the word determines one’s perception of the God whom it describes. To ...read more

There’s a shift that happens in the soul when we truly see God. In Book of Isaiah 1-5, the prophet looks out at the world and says, “Woe to them…” Corruption, injustice, pride-it’s all clear. Easy to name. Easy to condemn. But then comes the vision in Book of Isaiah. “I saw the Lord…” And ...read more

2 Corinthians 4:7-18 offers a portrait of spiritual buoyancy. Paul, in other places, invites us to follow him as he follows Christ (1 Cor 11:1).
