Expectation is the breeding ground for miracles. Remember the excitement and anticipation the night before Christmas or your Birthday. This is the power of expectation.
Expectation is the key to experiencing miracles. Think back to when you were a child, eagerly awaiting Christmas or your birthday. You were filled with excitement and anticipation, unable to sleep because you knew something amazing was about to happen. That feeling of expectation is what we need to cultivate in our lives.
Expectation is the act of looking forward to something with the belief that it will happen. It is the hope and anticipation of something good coming our way. Without expectation, we limit ourselves and hinder the possibility of miracles in our lives.
Many people go to church out of habit or tradition, without any real expectation of encountering God or experiencing His power. They go through the motions without truly believing that anything will happen. But if we want to see God move in our lives, we must have a sense of expectation.
Faith and expectation are closely related but distinct. While faith is believing in something without seeing it, expectation is the belief that something will happen. We can have faith without expectation, but we cannot have expectation without faith.
It is important to first have faith in God and His promises. We must believe that He is able and willing to do what He says He will do. Without this foundation of faith, our expectation will be weak or non-existent.
Once we have faith, we can then develop a sense of expectation. We must truly believe that God will come through for us, that He will answer our prayers and meet our needs. Our expectation should be rooted in the knowledge that God is good and desires to bless us.
Expectation is not just wishful thinking or positive thinking. It is a confident assurance that God will act on our behalf. It is a mindset that says, "I know God is going to do something amazing in my life." This expectation creates an atmosphere for miracles to happen.
When we read the Bible, we should not just see it as a collection of stories or principles. We should expect that the promises and truths in the Bible will manifest in our own lives. We should expect healing, provision, and breakthroughs because God has promised them to us.
Our expectation should not be limited by our circumstances or past experiences. We should not settle for less than what God has promised us. We should expect the impossible, knowing that with God, all things are possible.
Just as the lame man at the Gate Beautiful expected to receive something from Peter and John, we should expect to receive from God. Our expectation should be coupled with faith, knowing that God is able to do exceedingly abundantly above all we can ask or think.
We may face opposition or criticism from others, but we should not let that deter our expectation. We should hold on to our belief that God will come through for us, regardless of what others say or do. Our expectation should be unwavering.
God wants us to release our faith and expect Him to move in our lives. He wants us to believe Him for big things and to expect miracles. When we have faith and expectation, we position ourselves to receive from God.
So let us cultivate an atmosphere of expectation in our lives. Let us have faith in God and His promises. Let us believe that He will do what He says He will do. And let us expect miracles, knowing that God is able and willing to do amazing things in our lives.
