In 1 Corinthians there was an atmosphere of chaos and so the apostle Paul writes a letter. And in that letter he reminds them of the focal point of what he taught them when he was there and that is, "Jesus Christ and Him crucified." Is that all they need?

By the resurrection Jesus overcame sin and death; but the cross is where He made atonement for sin. It was the cross in which Paul boasted, and the cross was central to his missions and preaching; therefore, it should be important to us.
