[309]. A MESSAGE FROM A POEM - THIS WORLD IS IN DECEPTION’S HAND
I believed deception is so common that people live with it and do not realise they are deceived. We come to accept circumstances as normal but they are not normal in Christian teaching. They are normal for the deluded world.
Christians have a manual that spells out the truth for us and the better we know the bible, then the better we are able to resist delusion and indeed, identify it. That is the problem – people just don’t recognise deception. The reason for that is that Satan and the whole evil demonic army deceived without detection.
Even Eve was taken in. {{2 Corinthians 11:3-4 “but I am afraid, lest as the serpent deceived Eve by his craftiness, your minds should be led astray from the simplicity and purity of devotion to Christ.”}}. The Corinthians were being deceived but they probably thought they were walking correctly. {{2 Corinthians 11:4 “If one comes and preaches another Jesus whom we have not preached, or you receive a different spirit which you have not received, or a different gospel which you have not accepted, you bear this beautifully.”}}
Christians can be deceived in doctrine and practice. As I mentioned earlier the bible is our guide, standard, manual and blueprint for faith and doctrine and living. Christians are in the world but not of the world.
Deception is huge in the world. People run after those who are deceived themselves. There is no discernment in the world because it is deceived by Satan’s lie, so it readily accepts homosexuality and abortion and evolution and all the other worldly principles. Speaking of the last days (our times) Paul wrote – {{2 Timothy 3:13 “Evil men and impostors will proceed from bad to worse, deceiving and being deceived.”}}
Some things mystify me. For example, I will never know why some who claim to be Christians support the godless Democrats in the USA, and the ALP and Greens in Australia. Some black churches in the United States such as the First Baptist Church in Atlanta are just full of liberalism and God-dishonouring doctrines. That is very sad deception that counts not for salvation. I wrote to that church to point out some matters not of God and they banned me from their web page.
The poem looks at the world in deception and the Christian who has to live in a deceived world. Christians in Colossae really had this problem and Paul had to write – {{Colossians 2:18-19 “Let no one keep defrauding you of your prize by delighting in self-abasement and the worship of the angels, taking his stand on visions he has seen, inflated without cause by his fleshly mind, and not holding fast to the head, from whom the entire body, being supplied and held together by the joints and ligaments, grows with a growth which is from God.”}}
==========================================================
THIS WORLD IS IN DECEPTION’S HAND
This world is in deception’s hand
To execute one task;
In the control of Satan’s men
Whose minds strive in the dark.
=============
And for this reason we do see
Injustice everywhere.
Immoral men who plan their schemes -
For truth they do not care.
=============
That makes it hard for Christian folk
Who live in truthfulness.
So often they must pay the price
For honest steadfastness.
=============
This world hates those who aren’t of it;
Who don’t fit in its mould.
For they’re the ones Another owns -
His sheep held in His fold.
=============
They have a diff’rent code to heed;
A diff’rent Master’s voice.
And ostracised they may be . . . Yet
In Jesus they rejoice.
=============
This world has turned to evil more;
Post-modernism rules.
Parameters all men have set,
And live their lives as fools.
=============
But Satan is this world’s vile prince -
The power of the air.
His evil hosts have current rule,
But saints will not despair.
=============
The word of God has clearly said
That these things must increase,
Until the King of Glory comes,
When Satan’s rule will cease.
=============
Then how does one live in this world
Injustice to combat?
Again the word of God declares
What we must do for that.
=============
Commit your way unto the Lord -
Let Him direct your way.
Count not the grievous marks that hurt.
Let them, your God repay.
=============
Rejoice that in God’s Book of Life,
Your name is written there.
The world will go its sinful way,
But yours is treasure rare!
=============
